My name is Mr. R.C. Rob van den Berg (1968). In 1993 I completed my law studies, majoring in international law, at Utrecht University. Since 1994 I have been involved in asylum and immigration law. First as a volunteer at the Dutch Council for Refugees and as an employee at the Legal Aid Advice Centre. I have been working as a lawyer since 1997 and have further specialized myself in immigration and refugee law and immigration detention. After being based in Waalwijk for more than 20 years, I have been holding an office at the Spoorlaan in Tilburg since 2022. This is a more accessible location for my clients.

I am a member of the Specialist Association of Migration Law Lawyers (SVMA) and the Association of Asylum Lawyers and Jurists in the Netherlands (VAJN).

I am registered in the register of legal areas of the Dutch Bar Association as a specialist in the following areas of law:

Asylum and Refugee Law
Immigration law
Immigration detention

This registration obliges me to obtain ten training points in each registered legal area in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar every calendar year.

In many cases, proceedings to qualify for a residence permit take a long time. Thanks to my perseverance and many years of experience in immigration and refugee law, I know all the tricks of the trade and am the right person to help you.
